Black Medusa

Black Medusa ★★½

Chattanooga Film Festival 2021

Black Medusa moves at a casual pace, allowing you to soak in the pretty photography. Silent like Ms .45, Nada is up close and personal with her victims but without any real inciting incident, I can't help but feel adrift as we follow her snowballing killing spree. It takes a lot of stylistic cues from A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night but unfortunately fails to retain the raw engagement of that film.
