  • Blade Runner: Black Out 2022

    Blade Runner: Black Out 2022

    Amazing animation style!
Yet the story is really soporific like everything in the Blade Runner franchise lol.

  • Logan Lucky

    Logan Lucky

It could have been way more dumb and funnier. Like lots of wasted jokes opportunities. I was expecting something much more over the top.
Sure it's not bad tho. A good watch when the heist finally kicks in.

Being a collection of 7 different shorts, I should do like 7 different reviews, but I don't really care to do so.
They're ok except for the very long and boring and tedious last one from Gaspar Noè that drops the quality of the whol thing a whole LOT.
Beside that one it was an interesting visual trip. 7/10

  • Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal

    Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal

Oh god I love these early 00s vibes.
Loving all the outfits. Loving the humor. Loving the editing and style. Loving the hacker character wearing sunglasses in front of a screen for the whole movie.
Exactly what you'd expect it to be, but way more fun and entertaining.
It was actually fun! Like actually fun, not "so bad it's funny" fun.
Also I get emotional every time I see concerts in movies.

  • A Better Tomorrow II

    A Better Tomorrow II

Ok, it has impressive body count of 199 (a little bit cheating since 150 are just in the final 15 minutes), but as its predecessor it was too much of a drama.
Extremely slow at times, very boring, over-dramatic and overall uninteresting plot.
The directing was damn fire. All the scenes were amazing. Every single one of them. But damn that plot was a fucking wreck for my enjoyment.

A WHOLE EXTRA STAR for the absolutely outstanding last fight scene…

  • The Day the Earth Stood Still

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Everything was damn fine, except for the very rushed very last 20 minutes. wtif?
Taking half star out of the good 8/10 score just because of that!

Beside that it was a very good trip. The photography was phenomenal and I liked how I've empathized with the kid protagonist in this fascination with the new alien stranger.

  • Fire Birds

    Fire Birds

Top Gun without planes but with an excessively horny super chad Nic Cage trying to fuck for most of the time (when he's not killing stuff on an Apache Combat Helicopter, or punching in the face his helicopter academy teacher).
There's even a scene when he's trying to fuck while flying an helicopter.
    Pretty cool, lemme say!
Plenty of cage moments as well. Nic is the coolest dude once again.

Damn great visual trip with some insane strong early 2000s vibes going on!
Very nice experiment shoot using mostly only vhs camcoders.
Like Sono found an infrared camera somewhere and he went like "ooooh, nice, I can write a script on this visual effect".
    Also great jazzy soundtrack.

  • The Best of Times

    The Best of Times

    So cringey it's funny.
    Pure early 80s galore!
Bonus points for shirtless Nic Cage teaching me how to pick up girls.

30th position in my ranked CAGE RANKED List

  • King Kong

    King Kong

3,5 hours of this were actually surprisingly ok.

  • London Boulevard

    London Boulevard

GuyRitchie-inspired uk-crime-drama from the writer of The Departed? Nice! I'm in!
Great cast and overall good movie.
Nothing special, but I don't understand all those bad ratings.
    Solid movie imho!

  • Pan's Labyrinth

    Pan's Labyrinth

An adult fairy tale. Trying to put the fantasy in the big boys world.
Good stuff, great everything, not my cup of tea.
