Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ★★★★★

BABY, BABY, BABY YOU'RE OUT OF TIME...

August 8th, 1969. As time was running out for Sharon Tate and her friends. Time was also running out for old Hollywood, it's about to be changed forever.

In the film... as the lights flash on across Hollywood, way across town, all the way down Ventura Blvd at the Casa Vega Mexican Restaurant, time has ran out for Rick & Cliff. Their long work relationship has come to an end and there they will have one last good old fashioned drunk.

ONCE UPON A TIME ... IN HOLLYWOOD is all about endings. The bitter sweet end.

This film is made to show us the stunning Hollywood of the past. It can also be read as a commentary on Hollywood of the present.

Just like Hollywood was changing in '69. It's changing today too... and it's changing for Quentin Tarantino. It's a present that had skewed dramatically over the last decade. From streaming services to superhero movies to a total Disney IP take over. Hollywood is creatively bankrupt today.

This film proves Tarantino is still at the top of his game. Unfortunately the rest of Hollywood just isn't! They are stuck in Remake, Superhero, Reboot and Cinematic
Universe hell.

With this being QT's 9th film and only one more to go. It's sad to say we've come to the end of trail with one of our greatest filmmakers ... But atleast we will get one last good old fashioned drunk with him.
