This film knows exactly the story it is trying to tell. It isn’t particularly groundbreaking and it falls under the same trappings of films like Frances Ha in that it just shows the life of a single young woman over the course of the most formative years of their life. However, I can completely see the appeal, especially if you feel you can see yourself in the pivotal role. I cannot, which is why this did not resonate as deeply with me, but I still think it is good and worth a watch.
The movie event of the year for me so far. This was endlessly fascinating and I could have watched another 10 hours of it without getting bored.
