So, I lost a bet to my brother, and now I gotta watch very X-men movie before the end of November... wish me luck lads.
Actually, I expected way worse for this film: it filled me with nostalgia and reminded me of the first 2000s superhero movies, before Batman Begins: cocky and eccentric, but always a lot of fun. Although filled with pretty bad special effects and cheesy send-off lines, this movie presents a pretty good direction (I mean, it’s Singer we’re talking about) and also some surprisingly good reference to pretty heavy social themes, such as acceptance, integration and alienation, treated kinda well all throughout the movie. Of course, this is by no mean a good film, I would define it rather “nice”, but it is also absolutely not a bad one.
Looking forward to the next ones, and I hope to find some great movie material (and also some serious dogshit... I mean, I need that too)
