This wasn’t as good on rewatch. I can admit it is still a masterpiece, but after having seen so many movies I liked more it didn’t wow me this time like it did the first couple of times I saw it. Everything was right but it didn’t feel right it felt slightly off, it felt very automated in nature and I’m sure that Kubrick wouldn’t do something like that on accident, but it still didn’t sit right with me.
That being said it is still amazing in its cinematography with some of the best set and costume design in film and the story is always interesting. I love you Kubrick but I can never be convinced this is your absolute best.
