Okay, Finally my first time making it through the whole thing and I really enjoyed it! All the plot points affected me as they were supposed to and I was blown away by all the acting. I am not entirely sure what just happened and I do not know what the ending means and if I agree with all the politics, but I had a great time. Fincher movies leave me utterly exhausted. What a last shot!
EDIT: I do agree with the politics of the movie but not the characters. I think I should’ve made that more clear. I’ll need to rewatch soon.
EDIT #2: UGH this movie is so gay and I think that's so interesting. Everyone should read Temple of the Golden Pavilion by Mishima. It's basically the same story as this.
