Robert Bork's Video Rental History

While his nomination to the Supreme Court was pending in 1987, Robert Bork's video rental history was published by the Washington City Paper. Bork was a strict constitutional originalist who had written that Americans only had privacy protections implicitly named in existing legislation. Long story short — that's how we got the 1988 Video Privacy Protection Act.
