David’s review published on Letterboxd:
A very mild effort from Coppola, but I welcome the easy-going nature of this. I’m all about blue tones and soft jazz. Murray and Jones have great chemistry. Jones and Waynes do not. I think that’s sorta my issue here. It doesn’t bother me that the film is somewhat at odds with how comedic or dramatic it wants to be, but the “plot” hinges on their relationship and I’m not really buying them. I definitely enjoyed this overall, but I feel like a better film about the Father/Daughter relationship is marred by a bad rom-com plot.
