I watched this at about 4am coz I'm a sucker for mysteries.
Turns out Enola Holmes isn't really about the mysteries. It's about Enola trying to find her way in a world that is specifically designed by the people with power to push her down at every opportunity. Which is cool too.
There was one moment in this film where I got really excited and thought "Oh wow! I never expected this film to do tha- nevermind." So that was disappointing.
It was enjoyable enough to watch. They could have been a lot harder on the patriarchy though, especially considering Enola has the ability to throw money at half her problems and a powerful brother that's learning to care, most women don't have that. But it did more than I expected of it so I'll leave it at that.
I liked seeing that bit where Burn Gorman's head hit that thing too. That was rad.
