Nice to wash that bad taste out of my mouth left over from Mile 22 with a pretty good military thriller with bits of revenge sprinkled in.

Well shot action has to be one of the most undervalued things in filmmaking today. It’s easy to edit around stuff, but making combat fluid and understandable takes skill, and thankfully this film is definitely far more so than others within the genre.

Plus, it’s got a really likable cast that’s absolutely studded…

I will give you one line of dialogue that was actually a part of the screenplay that will tell you everything you need to know about this movie.

Avengers: Endgame literally has its cake and eats it too. They have everything. Everyone. How the Russo’s were able to wrangle positively every aspect boggled me. I love movies that take you on a journey, and this was one I won’t soon forget. It reminded me of a movie that would have been made during the golden age of Hollywood. John Williams’s score is incredible as always, and the cinematography is grand and sweeping across the Himalayan landscape. Brad Pitt’s accent is bad, and the script is a little weak towards the beginning, but overall this film is a gorgeous and very personal adventure.
