nightmare angel of the expressways
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The imagery and score in this movie seem to be teeing it up to be another of those good-to-excellent indie horror movies we get pretty regularly these days, and then the third act bungles the whole thing worse than any movie I have ever seen.
Ending the movie with a VERBATIM /x/ creepy pasta meme of ~2008 vintage was a jaw dropper. I don’t know what to make of it. There’s a lot about this movie that’s really fun! Even…
A gentle and funny movie from the king of contemporary neonoir. David Fincher tricked Netflix into funding an elegy for American socialism by telling them it was about Citizen Kane. CGI animals and a terribly flat Orson Welles aside this is a gorgeous film to look at and feels shorter than its 2 hour and 12 min runtime. Will be watching again as there is a lot to unpack here.
