I sure love my jazz movies and this was damn good. Great quick dialogues, some amazing monlogues by the outstanding actors in this picture and a very different than usual biopic/history lesson.
Viola Davis was freaking unrecognizable in this; not only regarding her appearance but also her acting/performance.
The locked door allegory was kinda nice, ngl.
