“It is a restless moment. She has kept her head lowered... to give him a chance to come closer. But he could not, for lack of courage. She turns and walks away.”
I knew this was going to be special the moment these words appeared on the screen. And indeed, it was. The best way to describe it would have to be simply: poetry in motion.
Lonlieness is a strange thing. Often times we don’t really know that we are feeling it, not until we meet somebody who fills that void we had no idea we had. Longing is a feeling we often repress, but when it finally surfaces it’s one of the strongest emotions of all.
This film is so good at capturing these feelings, this pain, and making something beautifully devastating out of it. So well done on all aspects, I’m truly at a loss for words, I really wish I could say more but I’m just... absolutely floored. What a heartbreaking but amazing entry into the new year/new decade!
