Allan Guerrero’s review published on Letterboxd:
Beautiful production design, gripping script and Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman deliver powerhouse performances. However, it’s Boseman for me who takes it home here in what could be his best performance. I would be shocked if he doesn’t take the best supporting actor Oscar here, or a posthumous one at the very least.
Other than that, it’s a bummer that since it’s a play-to-screen adaptation, it limits what you can portray. Wished there was more substance to it.
