This should get all the Razzies this year and none of the Oscars, though it sadly might get nominated for a few of the latter. I'm baffled how anybody could sincerely think this is a good film. I understand enjoying parts of it that are made unintentionally funny by certain acting decisions or the odd tone of the movie itself, but I found this to be a boring film with a cookie-cutter approach and poor execution.

The film is not driven by character…

    On second thought...

First two thirds: almost a slog, derivative, predictable, by the numbers, gorgeous score, nice cinematography, great Joaquin Phoenix

Last act: pretty gripping, great musical choices, operatic, grandiose, extravagant, ballsy, great Joaquin Phoenix

    "Joker" is good, not great
