    It’s been well over 4 years since I last saw Sing Street. The film struck such a strong cord with me, mainly because I was the perfect age for it. At 15, I was becoming more and more aware of my position in life as a teen and this film always proved to be the perfect film for the emotions I was feeling at that age.

    There’s good stuff here. But it’s also very long, can be quite silly at times, and is honestly not always the most interesting story.

    Maybe it’ll grow on me over time, but I do regret having watched the 3 hour Director’s cut first. The film felt like it desperately needs some major edits to fix the sometimes wonky storytelling.
