As a long-time not-a-horror-movie-guy, this really intrigued me as a foundational text. And on watching it...maybe I am a horror movie guy?? It was ominous as heck, and bookended by two incredible setpieces of direction, but the tablesetting dragged on for just that bit too long.
Equally excited and apprehensive about what John Carpenter is about to do when armed with an actual budget.
