OK, lots of interesting stuff presented here that makes it hard to organize my thoughts. I do think that the film is extremely fair to many people depicted and the audience. The most important thing to mention is Chastain, she is not my cup of tea usually but I loved her in this. She played Faye with such sympathy and made this larger than life character a human. Along with her performance there is a really interesting dialogue about the predatory nature of 'televangelist' personalities. Chastain gets an incredible assist from Garfield who really understood the assignment on how to play Baker opposite his co-star. The film was extremely easy to digest and was extremely entertaining. I do wish the film took its time wrapping up instead of the quick ending we got.
