Scavenger Hunt #36-March 2018
Task #13 Watch a movie with a Criterion spine number ranging from 330-365.
I had already seen every film from this selection. So I decided to rewatch this Truffaut film. It had been over 10 years. I had seen it sometime around 2004 and I'm pretty sure I didn't really know who Charles Aznavour was yet. How times have changed.
It is an early Truffaut piece, perhaps not as amazing as some of his later films, although some people may argue that The 400 Blows which came out right before this is his masterpiece. A couple of heartbreaking love stories are delved into. There is also the famous shootout in the snow scene at the end which I'll never forget. It's just so beautiful and sad at the same time.
