I liked Donnie Darko, but this was a total misfire! Richard Kelly was like, hey, let me blend so bad that it's bad satire, people who sing who want to act but can't really act (Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake), an end of the world situation, and throw in a bunch of porn star characters... what in the world was he thinking? And putting Rebekah Del Rio in your film doesn't make you DAVID LYNCH!!!!
The saving grace was Wallace Shawn who actually had me laughing. But his costumes and makeup were so horrendous that I could see if someone despised his character.
Eww, just eww. Someone make this film go away! I initially avoided this movie like the plague, but eventually decided to check it out because it was listed on TSPDT's The 21st Century's Most Acclaimed Films. Not sure how this film got on the list. Surely an error?
