The Elephant and the Butterfly

The Elephant and the Butterfly ★★★

Lina Doillon (Jacques Doillon's daughter) stars in this dramedy about a single mom that leaves the daughter with the dad, because she is desperate. It's charming, but doesn't have the warmth or power that the Yves Robert films had. It's okay, though, and MUCH better than the film I saw yesterday.

It was Belgian, produced by The Dardenne Brothers, and I got to practice my French.

This is the 255th film I've seen using Movie Pass.
