Chip’s review published on Letterboxd:
Ambiguous sci-fi is the best sci-fi. This is clandestine and unknown gem; an interesting glimpse into the working class of an indeterminate future. It’s filled with inaccessible jargon, yonic gem extractions that combine biology with ore mining, and references to places and events that, ironically, engrossed me while watching. This movie offers just enough explanation to invite you into this novel world. I liked Pedro Pascal’s prose. The retro-futurist set and costumes and verdant forest aesthetics were impeccable— especially given the budget.
Weird little film I’ve never heard of before. Right up my alley.
