• The Midnight Sky

    The Midnight Sky

Eh. I didn't hate this, but it didn't do much for me. The music was nice. The look of it and the general mood was kind of nice. I didn't really care much about any of the characters, and there was never really any hope of a happy ending. I'm not sure if there was any point to it.

  • The Year Earth Changed

    The Year Earth Changed

    Nice enough little documentary.

  • Bottle Rocket

    Bottle Rocket

I noticed recently that Amazon has a few old Wes Anderson movies streaming right now, and I hadn't seen this one before. This was kind of goofy and pointless. Amusing enough, I guess.

  • King Kong

    King Kong

Watched this on DVD today, since my internet was flaky and I couldn't stream anything. This is still a really fun movie. The effects hold up pretty well, at least for an old guy like me. I love stop motion.

  • Wonder Woman 1984

    Wonder Woman 1984

OK, well, this was weird. I guess I kinda liked it? It doesn't make any sense, and it went way overboard on... a lot of stuff. But there was some goofy fun here.

  • Kong: Skull Island

    Kong: Skull Island

This movie was pretty ridiculous, but I really liked it. John C. Reilly was great. Most of the other actors were pretty good too, including of course John Goodman and Samuel L. Jackson. The monsters were great, both the old (Kong) and the new. This was just a lot of fun, overall.

  • Godzilla

I might have liked this more if I saw it on a big screen instead of on TBS, in my living room. This movie definitely has some good points, but I couldn't really get into it. The characters weren't that interesting to me. There wasn't nearly enough Godzilla. I got distracted and lost track of the plot a couple of times. It's not a bad monster movie, but it's just not good enough to keep my attention on a small screen.

  • A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon

A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon

I thought this got off to a slow start, but once it got going, I really enjoyed it.
Initially, I didn't like the design on the alien kid, but it grew on me. I also didn't like the pop songs that were sprinkled throughout the movie.
Lots of great sight gags throughout. This movie had me laughing out loud at a few points, which is really rare for me.

  • Matilda

Watched this today, on a lark. You know what? it was pretty great.

  • Hiver rouge

    Hiver rouge

French police procedural. For me, a nice change of pace from the British police procedurals I usually binge. This is the first of four episodes, but works as a standalone movie too.

  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier

    Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Rewatched this yesterday to remind myself of the backstory for Falcon and The Winter Soldier. I've seen this a few times already. It's one of my favorite Marvel movies. Watching it now, I see more of the flaws, but I still like it a lot.

  • Save Yourselves!

    Save Yourselves!

This was just mildly amusing, for the most part, with a few really funny moments. And the ending was a bit disappointing. Maybe I wasn't really in the right mood for this.
