10% lost through translation, 90% wow. This movie is a lot. Whirlwinds of emotion and some really, really affecting images here in pursuit of a deeply unsettling truth that’s so bravely and captivatingly told. Fuck castes.

There is so much here that I was trying (TRYING) to do with Run that I couldn’t and that Julia Hart and Jordan Horowitz did successfully here and it makes me mad!!! Love the pace, love the colors, love the trust in the audience and holy shit absolutely love the fucking framing.
Watched at home, last night of Christmas holidays.
Watched for a second time on my phone, subtitled, and in ten minute spurts so I could go on Reddit and/or Google what I was watching. Honestly the ideal scenario because I think I finally understood *most* of this (didn't even catch the Neil hypocenter moment at the climax during my first watch and honestly have no idea how that fits into the narrative). In fact, the moment I finished this movie this way, I started it again from the top and learned a few more things along the way. Very few modern movies have this level of re-watchability.
This movie should not dip into the 2s on Letterboxd, and honestly, I wonder if it wouldn’t have had it released in theaters. Had a great time.
Spotify wasn’t downloaded on my brother’s PS4 so I put this on in the BG because it’s a vibe and ended up watching it again, wow this is so good.
