    Sports drama in which a football player discovers that he has a heart condition that will force him to leave the sport - and will possibly lose him his wife.

    Some sports films can breakout to people who aren't into sports - like me! This isn't one of those films. It's probably way better to big football fans. It isn't bad; the drama is competent, and Victor Mature's dilemma is sympathetic.

    But it's also not good enough to be great, so it feels pretty mild and milquetoast.

    Way better than the original Dune adaption, obviously. Gorgeous visuals and a booming soundtrack compliment a sci-fi story that has some impressive world building and novel ideas. Some parts are kinda slow, and it doesn't necessarily feel like a complete story, but the cast are fun to watch, so hanging around with them is far from the worst thing.

    Apparently the first ever children's program to openly deal with the topic of cancer, this is one of the more heartfelt Peanuts specials, and the sensitive subject is handled appropriately. Hard not to smile when Linus gives a bully the scolding he deserves.

    I went in with high hopes, and the film somehow slightly exceeded them. A film that could have been horrible ends up as one of the best CBMs this year.

    Everyone and their mom have been praising the visuals, so I won't spend too much time doing that. I'll just say they're amazing, and this may be the only film where I can literally describe an action scene as "kaleidoscopic".
