If I had a nickel for every Michael Caine movie I've seen that included an out of context shot of Tom Courtenay in Billy Liar I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

The thing is that I think Andra Day is SO good in this that I can't bring myself to think it's as a whole bad even though it was pretty boring and it felt extremely long and meandering. Every time I think that filmmakers have broken through and figured out how to do movies about real people effectively there's a movie that proves that is not entirely the case.
