It’s mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack. Not rationality.
Well this isn’t what I was expecting. I saw what they were trying to do with the dark comedic tone multiple gruesome deaths but it never quite came together as successfully as it should. I will never be able to take Liam Neeson seriously as a lead, sorry. Also, Laura Dern’s whole character was really pointless and just disappears out of nowhere? Really odd, skip it.
I actually watched this a few weeks ago and forgot to review it so I’m going based on lasting impression. It was a good movie, don’t get me wrong but I was let down after all the great reviews. The story is enthralling but I felt a sense of disconnect to Riz Ahmed’s character, I didn’t feel like the performance lived up to the hype. A great supporting cast and fantastic sound mixing but not a top acting award contender (sorry).
