"These bank holidays, it's a problem to decide." The first instalment of the Wallace & Gromit trilogy, followed by The Wrong Trousers (1993) and A Close Shave (1995), that has the emotional range and deep pathos of films six times its length.

A perfect vehicle for Olivia Colman and Rachel Weisz to show us all how it's done, in a fully realised royal court, replete with outstanding costuming, music choices and cinematography. I never wanted it to end. The rabbits were a very powerful visual metaphor, and have stayed with me.
