Psycho Girls 1986
This is a picture that I’ve wanted to see for years but was never able to locate an uncut copy. It only had a limited theatrical release in 1985 by Cannon Films and a VHS release in the early 2000s by MGM as an Amazon exclusive. Both versions were severely cut. Beyond the Black Rainbow 2010
From the get go, this one reminds one of a Cronenberg film, either David or Brandon. Has some elements of Cosmatos’ later film Mandy. The score has some echoes of Tangerine Dream. A stylish art house sci-fi thriller with plenty of psychedelic visuals, some gore, and a fine performance from the female lead. Highly recommended.
