It’s been 3 months but I’m so glad to finally be back at a cinema!!!!!
Wasted potential made even worse by the opening act, which aside from the appallingly bad Marvel humor, has some of the best fight choreography this franchise has had for a while before falling straight back into basic Marvel formula, losing all of its heart and soul in the process. Except for the credit score, by some miracle it doesn’t feel like the shoehorned MCU tie ins felt shoved down my throat which is nice for once! The bones of a really good film is here and I’ll give credit where it’s due but it gets lost in IP obligation filmmaking (2+ hours, huge CGI finale, second act pacing issues, replacing family drama with legit stakes for apocalyptic nonsense missions etc). Fiege and co need to lean that less is more sometimes.
