The Death & Life of John F. Donovan ★★½

There's a distinct moment halfway through where Jacob Tremblay (in a career worst performance) and Natalie Portman bitterly argue with eachother and it's almost as if the film falls off a logic cliff and becomes the most dramatic shit I have ever seen in my life. I get what Dolan is going for and the first half lands it pretty well, I just wish the rest was as compelling.

EDIT: my original score is 2.5 but goddamn I am this close to adding another star for the soundtrack.
