Ash’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s Vanessa Kirby’s Best Actress Oscar and hers alone. She gives perhaps the most evocative and resonant performance of the past year, not only embodying strength, but also translating vulnerability in her role, exposing us to the bare traumas of grief and loss and the deterrents of that on a mother’s character and personality.
Pieces of a Woman is her film and she carries this so viscerally and passionately. She’s just phenomenally powerful in this. It’s hers to win.
