This movie really does inherit Spielberg’s styles and themes of his early to mid ‘80s work. It’s not a mirror, nor a painting, but more nostalgia?
The color tones and extended CGI are kind of pushing it for me, but I must concede it’s where film is now. I also miss seeing a Paramount logo before the film starts. Still miles beyond Abrams in my book.
