This film had potential but it was just so excruciatingly slow that I actually ended up fast forwarding through parts of the movie. There was some cool scenery tho, and some Silent Hill type vibes. I thought the daughter’s dialogue/acting was overplayed

Oooh I should’ve known Bong Joon-Ho wouldn’t have made just some average monster film. Everything was great about this: family dynamics/character development, the bits of humor throughout, how the different genres/plots mixed, the music, the ENDING, even the creature was badass. (that mf was doing backflips!!) I was fooled at first, thinking that the parasite/virus concept kind of messed with this being a monster movie and that it could’ve been made into two different films. When I got towards the end tho I was like “ahhh okay no this is good”

Witty and fun! Millie Bobby Brown was great in this role. I wasn’t a fan of the fourth wall stuff tho

This was NOT what I expected and it was fantastic. Finally a movie that really kept my eyes glued to the screen. Also some really great camera work and the music accompanied the scenes really well.
