    Expertly crafted. Up there with Wild Wild Country. No stone left unturned. The animation is wonderfully dreamy, modern, and original. 

    Access to people and archives is incredible. Highly impressed with the depth and ease of understanding. 

    My favorite aspect is that this doc is not just about one cult, but all of them. The choice to interview experts in the fields of religion and sociology was genius, fresh, and a positive and perfect decision.

    Moving. Beautiful. Joaquin was devistatingly brilliant. Music was chilling. Mental illness elements were powerful. Final speech could have used a few more rewrites. I didn’t feel for him or the cause. 🤡

    Realize I’ve never seen this all the way through. Very scary. Amazing horror cinema for 1973. I had a deeper connection to the material since I grew up Catholic. 

    Everyone was great, especially Linda Blair and Lee Cobb as Lieutenant Kinderman. Effects in this are top notch. Apparently this was the first use of early version of a Steadicam style rig. 

    Beyond Fest 2019 Egyptian Theater Los Angeles. Supposed to be Q&A with William Friedkin but he fell ill so Linda Blair showed up. She had some nice insight and great message about animal welfare.
