    Dawn of the Dead

This is one of the few rated R movies I had seen with my dad growing up (my parents are both super Christian) and it’s also one of the few I remember just not liking.
Revisiting it now, I still don’t like it as much as I would think, but I definitely enjoyed it more.
It’s very much a mid 2000’s horror movie, which is both a great thing and a bad thing. It’s good because you pretty much know…

    American Mary

A very well made, indie horror/thriller that I can’t help but admire.
It reminded me about Excision a lot in its tone and budget, and I loved both of them.
I really enjoyed the main actress and I’ve needed to watch Ginger Snaps for a long time and I think this has finally convinced me to watch it asap.

    The Muppet Movie

One of the best movies to ever exist. It’s got it all: romance, comedy, action, musics numbers, puppets, celebrity cameos, and an ending that never fails to give me chills and make me teary eyed.
The story is very simple when broken down, Kermit the frog wants to go to Hollywood and become famous to make “millions of people happy”, and ends up meeting a bunch of fun and interesting characters along the way.
I love the humor this film…

    Under the Silver Lake

I have two new things to say about this film.
    1. It’s got a very similar vibe to Mulholland Drive.
    2. It has the best reference to Garfield and The Amazing Spider-Man that I totally missed on my first viewing.

I still adore this film and I hope it gets more recognition for how great it is.
