Not my favourite, but definitely some really great moments, especially in the second half. Something I’ve noticed with recent Disney+ shows that I’ve seen, like with WandaVision and even things like Mandalorian, is that they suffer from being a little slow not even in terms of pacing of episodes but in terms of character development and moving forward of broader plot. What a fun film! Every Ghibli film is just oozing with character, creativity, and charm - this was no exception. Beautiful animation, great characters, and a really unique story! I have a super vague memory of watching this with my sister in PA when I was like 10 and it was so fun revisiting. Ghibli continues to impress!

I had no idea, however, just how powerful this film would turn out to be. Good, thoughtful Christian art is so rare - what a breath of fresh air!

First let’s talk about the filmmaking itself. Every shot is so intentionally crafted, so meticulous. The cinematography shines amidst stunning…
