Dawn of the Dead

Dawn of the Dead ★★★★½

Argento Cut - Not sure what the particular differences are, but didn't particularly notice any different level of enjoyment. It still hurts when certain characters meet their maker. It's still really well paced despite being set in one location and being kept with very simple characters and very fine performances that never fully immerse you into being truly relatable. It has lots of humour, lots of cool effects work and is clear to see why and how it inspired Peter Jackson to make Bad Taste, which later lead the way for Jacksons legend Lord of the Rings trilogy and the establishment of WETA Digital.

So once more. Big up Dawn of the Dead for pretty much creating the path for all of that.
