Back to the low levels of number 3. This film is so badly written, directed and acted. The change to the origin of the killers makes the story drag and removes the tension from the hunted in the woods formula
What is there to say about wrong turn? It's a slasher...set in the wilderness...and the villains are cannibal hillbillys...so straight off there isn't very much originality here (gas station portent anyone?). But here we have two strong leads who both prove they're capable time and time again and three well designed villains who are vicious and unrelenting.
I can see why people might not like this film, but I love it enough to overlook its shortcomings and enjoy the gore.
