Tetsuo out here rocking the Jacksfilms forehead.
Not a favourite of mine but I still enjoyed it a lot and I can see why it’s so widely beloved. It’s an engaging story carried by Tetsuo and Kaneda being really enjoyable characters. Coupled with some great animation, action, world building and some genuinely horrific imagery, the film has a lot to love. I’m not that into the ending and I don’t care about any of the side characters, but nothing jumps out at me as something I particularly hate. It’s a really really good movie that I can absolutely see myself liking more and more over time and with repeat viewings.
