    Sit still and enjoy the movie

    Sound of Metal challenges the notion that deafness is a disability and is a good window into the silent world. Heartfelt and with superb acting from Riz Ahmed and the supporting cast, I can recommend this film to anyone. 

    W’s: great acting, script and sound design. 
    L’s: made me realise I gotta get my ears checked

    Hopeful and uplifting

    The premise is simple. Pick a date (in this case July 25th 2020) and ask as many people as you can from around the world to record their experiences throughout the 24 hour period. The result (after god knows how many hours of editing) is this beautifully hopeful and uplifting film about humanity and all the experiences we share as beings on this planet. If you’re feeling pessimistic for the future then watch this to change your mind.…

    4 hours of cheesy slow-mo and bad ps3 graphics 

    I was excited going into this film. I’ve always had a soft spot for Batman v Superman and I appreciate the darker tone that DC have decided to pursue, especially compared to the fun-but-safe approach of the MCU . It’s also worth noting I never saw the theatrical version because the reviews were so bad and I had several friends telling me not to waste my money.
