Brandon Streussnig’s review published on Letterboxd:
A dirtbag Rashomon, two vile, repugnant brutes hurtling full speed into a bloody, self serving conclusion with a bleach blonde Affleck hanging over the film like a prancing specter giving a performance for the ages.
Holofcener, Affleck & Damon’s script weaves a wild tale full of contradiction, disgust and furious condemnation. The action is bonecrunching, muddy madness. Grimy slimeballs rolling around in their natural habitat.
Jodie Comer is excellent. Each chapter forces her to change her performance a little more than the men and her nuances and intricacies are really special. Really great performance.
Incredible. The most thrilling 2 1/2 hrs I’ve spent in a long time.
