If you read my review for the film, I said I would address the character development of Kate Ward. Many will justifiably despise the characterization and its place in this narrative. In defense of the character though, one could argue Snyder is emanating how, in some cases, the ignorant and incompetent triumph over the opposite individuals in society. Considering the film's satiric targets on Trump and Sean Spicer, it seems fair for Snyder to create this judgment. I could be reading too much into this, but the film's tragedy exudes the idea as a possibility.
