+1 star for Jim Cummings/Stuart from Madtv cameos.

if there's one thing for certain about David Gordon Green's slaughter-by-kitchen-utensil gore side-show, it's that Michael Myers is PISSED.

    And I am EXAUSTED.

I'm just gonna come right out and be totally transparent: Kills butchers expectations in the most disappointing way it could've. Every virtue seems to be double-edged. On one hand, it's quite a sight to be able to watch a big budget slasher flick THIS merciless and THIS balls-to-the-wall gruesome.…

Wow, big budget Dystopian fiction that’s COLORFUL and brimming with personality and visceral stakes, with a gimmick that it fully takes advantage of for guttural, inventive tension. How refreshing!

Like a lot of Korean media, they can’t help but not only TUG the heart-strings but mercilessly tear them apart. My Mom loves to watch these shows but I can’t for that exact reason. I gotta admit though….it makes for damn good television.

Oof, this is already shaping up to be a polarising one isn't it?

Army of the Dead gripped me in it's rotting palm instantly from the onset, with a 15 minute opening credit sequence detailing the fall of Las Vegas to the undead in typically bombastic Snyder fashion, combining the autuer's penchent for the stylishly gruesome, mordantly comedic, and some truly exhilerating imagery.

To say it's all downhill from there though would be a bit melodramatic...if a teeny bit accurate.…

Yes I watched it twice in one day, as I’m sure many other people will.

I love how it just dives face first into the fantastical with the Hollow Earth world building, really packs in some acid pill-esque visual splendor and intriguing details to the Monsterverse among everything else that looks amazing.

Skaarsgard is so goofy in this as well which I found entertaining since it boosted the splashy Saturday Morning Cartoon atmosphere. Everyone is just taking it seriously enough, to where it zooms past pretentious to earnest.
