I'm a pretty avid Cary Grant film. And in some cases, if he's in a film and not the main character, there needs to be a really strong supporting cast to equal his ability. Fortunately, I think that is the case with The Talk of the Town. Jean Arthur and Ronald Colman both are great characters, and this three-way starring cast worked out a lot better than I anticipated. There is a strong legal/political background to support the story, which is good enough to support the characters throughout the film.
