  • Logan

    Logan

    ★★★★½

Will the kids really be safe in Canada? Transigen don't really seem like the type of group to abide by border laws.

Such a beautifully heartbreaking end to the X-Men as we know them. Everything surrounding Professor X is so affectingly tragic, Patrick Stewart was outstanding.

  • X-Men: Apocalypse

    X-Men: Apocalypse

    ★★½

So was Jesus a mutant in this universe?

They set up Charles to have his first big "main hero" moment of the series yet then frustratingly discard it in order to opt down the more cliché route of Jean erupting in a giant, colourful state of power to save the day (which has been done before and will go on to be done again).

  • Deadpool

    Deadpool

    ★★★½

Does a movie poking fun at itself for being shit excuse it from being shit? I think so...

It did get a little old though, as funny as some of the jokes were. The action however was great throughout.

  • X-Men: Days of Future Past

    X-Men: Days of Future Past

    ★★★★

Its strange how such a great movie could fuck up an entire series. Like did they even bother with continuity in any of the movies after this?

Quicksilver and Magneto sure do know how to create some entertaining action. Like father like son.

    79/100

  • The Wolverine

    The Wolverine

    ★★½

Is Yashida’s medical bed constantly x-raying its occupant? That couldn't have been good for Yashida's health...

If the movies whole aim is to make you feel sorry for Logan then it did very well. Immortality is a curse.

    52/100

  • X-Men: First Class

    X-Men: First Class

    ★★★★

Why does Magneto decide to deflect the bullets instead of just removing the gun from Moira (like he does every other time he's shot at)?

Magneto putting the same coin he was forced to move as a child through Shaws head is the coldest thing from the whole X-Men series.

    77/100

  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

    ★★½

This the same Sabertooth from the first X-Men movie? I know Logan had his memory wiped but did Victor just pretend that he didn't recognize his brother?

Give Gambit a solo movie please.

    50/100

  • X-Men: The Last Stand

    X-Men: The Last Stand

    ★★½

The mutant class thing got me thinking, is there like a minimum requirement of power you need to join the X-Men? I've got a friend with a 1 inch wonder which can apparently grow 7 times it's size. Would this mutation place him worthy enough to join the X-Men?

That Jean one is a piece of work. Scott and Logan could do better.

    52/100

  • X2

    X2

    ★★★½

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

That phenomenal Magneto prison break scene got me thinking. 2.5% of human mass is made up of metal, that's 2kg of metal in the average person. Would Magneto be able to use this to his advantage?

Definitely the best of the original X-Men trilogy.

    71/100

  • X-Men

    X-Men

    ★★★

Why couldn't Xavier detect Mystique in the X-Mansion?

This is the most cliché action movie ending you can get; heroes get captured in famous monuments-heroes manage to escape-heroes stop bad guys at the last second,

    62/100

  • Monsters University

    Monsters University

    ★★½

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Monsters seriously need to do a full on college coarse to be scary? That's like a dog needing to do a college coarse to be cute or a letterboxer needing to do a college coarse to be a gay nerd.

What an inspiring message to kids, sometimes, no matter how much you want it or how hard you try, you will fail. To be fair though it is realistic.

    46/100

  • Monsters, Inc.

    Monsters, Inc.

    ★★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Will there really be a difference between the monsters trying to scare the kids and the monsters trying to make them laugh? I'm sure 99% of kids would still be pretty terrified of a full blown monster doing a comedy routine.

I'm glad to know the hairy thing that snuck into my room to tickle me as a child was just trying to collect some much needed energy for his home.
