Bond16’s review published on Letterboxd:
Yeah, this actually kind of lives up to the hype. As someone who thinks that most MCU movies are merely nice entertainment that almost never makes me seriously feel something strongly or think about something long after the movie is over.
This film is however epic in the best way possible, assaulting you in all the right ways. It's a thrill ride from beginning to end that never forgets that it needs an emotional core. A MCU movie has never felt so important for these characters. The small grievances that I can muster up here are all about the proportionality of how these characters are used within the plot and about some questionable plot holes/character interactions. Furthermore, although we've had 18 movies in this universe already, at times the emotional involvement just wasn't there.
Aside from that, it's brilliant.
