10 Things I Hate About You

    Scavenger Hunt #35 - February 2018
    Film 11/28
Task #10: A film that evokes a feeling of nostalgia in you

There are way more than 10 things that I love about this movie, but here's a start:

    1. Heath Ledger, who is, in fact, a very pretty guy.
    2. Kat's impressive drunken vocabulary and her dance moves, obviously.
    3. Mr. Morgan and how much he hates Joey.
    4. All the great lines. Chastity: "I know you can be overwhelmed, and…

    Wonder Woman 1984

Wonder Woman in the first movie: I am strong, smart, and capable, and I will fight the battles I feel are worth fighting, regardless of what men and society are telling me.

Wonder Woman in 1984: I spend my life alone because I am somehow still mourning a man that I knew for about a week more than seven decades ago. I mean, obviously I can't be complete without a man.

Week 12: A comedy featuring talking animals.

What a delightful movie! The combination of real and animatronic animals works so well, and the movie still looks great all these years later. The story is sweet, and it made me feel good about being vegetarian. My husband, on the other hand, ate bacon the next day.

    Week 1: Auteur - F.W. Murnau

This was unlike any movie I've ever seen. The beginning was a bit slow, and I wish they had given a bit more insight into the characters and why the marriage wasn't going so well. Then, it seemed like everything was resolved by the middle of the movie, and I thought, "Where are they going to go with this?" The tone of the middle of the movie was completely different…

    Film School Dropouts 2020
    Week 43: Genre - Horror - Folk/Occult

What a spectacular movie. It's such an interesting combination of genres, and I feel like it delivers on every level. It's a great war movie, family drama, and fantasy film. There are heartbreaking moments, scary moments, and magical moments. The cast does a phenomenal job, and Pale Man is one of the creepiest monsters I've seen.
