Branson Reese’s review published on Letterboxd:
Our three leads trip over ever single piece of furniture in this movie but not in a Mr. Bean way. No, they do it in ways all their own.
Everybody in this movie speaks like a real person in 1987 would’ve spoken, I assume. I wasn’t alive in 1987 due to being currently 21. Each scene is a tightrope walk across easy cliches and every character is treated sympathetically. Even the contra fighters which would maybe be the one change I would make.
